Too comfy comfort zone

Ist Euer Leben zu bequem?

Nein, ich rede hier nicht direkt davon, dass Ihr die letzten Tage möglicherweise nur von der Couch zum Esstisch und wieder zurück gewechselt seid. Solche Entspannungsphasen sind auch meiner Meinung nach manchmal schlichtweg notwendig und wichtig.

Das Thema, das mich heute beschäftigt, kommt eher von einer anderen Seite. Wir haben uns nämlich gestern mit einem lieben Freund getroffen und uns jeweils das Neueste aus unseren Leben erzählt. Und unser Freund berichtete uns zu unserem größten Erstaunen, dass er derzeit mit Hochdruck eine neue Arbeitsstelle für sich sucht.

„Aber Du hast doch so einen guten Job bei einem der besten Arbeitgeber der Region!“ rief ich völlig überrascht aus und mein lieber Mann ergänzte: „Und außerdem verdienst Du dort auch noch sehr gutes Geld.“

Unser Freund lächelte versonnen in sich hinein und ließ sich mit seiner Antwort erkennbar Zeit, bis er sie schließlich formulierte: „Ja, da habt Ihr beide recht, aber ich habe mir meinen Entschluss reiflich überlegt, und ich weiß nun, dass es allerhöchste Zeit ist, etwas an meinem Leben zu ändern. Wenn ich nicht bald diese durchaus angenehme Komfortzone verlasse, habe ich die Befürchtung, dass ich auf Dauer bequem und träge werde, dabei bin ich doch davon überzeugt, dass man nur durch eine stete persönliche Herausforderung wachsen und seine eigene Persönlichkeit entwickeln kann.“

Sowohl mein Mann als auch ich nickten beeindruckt. „Respekt, Du bist wirklich mutig,“ bekräftigte mein Mann, „aber ich bin mir sicher, dass Du für Deinen Mut auf jeden Fall belohnt wirst. Daher auf jeden Fall von ganzem Herzen viel Glück und Erfolg für Dein Vorhaben.“

Wo habt Ihr Euch während der Feiertage überwiegend aufgehalten? Wo möchtet Ihr Eure persönliche Komfortzone im Neuen Jahr verlassen? Welche Entscheidung hat Euch im Leben weitergebracht?

Und ich habe heute passend zum Thema extra eine meiner gemütlichsten Hosen, nämlich meine graue Jogginghose zu meiner hellblauen Bluse und meiner braun-grauen Pelzweste angezogen …

Is your life too comfy?

No, I 'm not talking not about the last few Christmas days during them you maybe possible only alternated from the couch to the dining table and back again. Such relaxation phases are also my opinion sometimes simply necessary and important.

The today´s issue comes from a different angle of view. Yesterday, my lovely husband and I met a friend and we told us the latest news from our lives. And our friend mentioned to our great surprise that he currently is looking intensively for a new job for himself.

"But you have already such a good job at one of the best employers here in the region!" I cried completely surprised and my husband added: "And besides, you indeed earn in this company good money."

Our friend smiled dreamily to himself and took time with his response before he finally said: "Yes, you are both right, but I thought about my decision maturely, because I am convinced that it is high time to change something in my life. If I do not soon leave this quite pleasant comfort zone, I am afraid that I will become comfortable and lazy in the long-term view, as I am convinced that we can only grow and develop our own personality by a constant personal challenge."

Both my husband and I nodded impressed. "Hey, you are good! And You are really courageous," my husband commented, "but I 'm sure you will get the reward for your courage in any case, wholeheartedly luck and success for this step."
