Wann verdient Ihr Euer Geld?

Denn am Wochenende waren mein lieber Mann und ich zu Besuch bei meinen Eltern. Kurz zuvor hatte mein Mann eine geschäftliche E-Mail gelesen, über die er sich etwas ärgerte.

Wir unterhielten uns mit meinen Eltern über dies und das, und dabei erwähnte mein Mann auch die für ihn unerfreuliche E-Mail.

Da Zurückhaltung manchmal nicht zu meinen ganz großen Stärken gehört, kam ich nicht umhin, in diesem Zusammenhang meine Meinung in Bezug auf das Lesen von geschäftlichen E-Mails am Wochenende kund zu tun. Wenn Ihr meinen Blog schon länger lest, dann wisst Ihr vermutlich, dass ich davon schlichtweg gar nichts halte, was ich entsprechend lang und breit verkündete.

Mein Mann rollte nur mit seinen Augen, denn er liebt Diskussionen zu diesem Thema gar nicht, wahrscheinlich auch deswegen, weil er sie schon zu oft mit mir geführt hat.

Meine Mutter sah uns nur an, erkannte, dass es sich bei dem Thema offenbar um Zündstoff zwischen mir und meinem Mann handelt und bemerkte verschmitzt: „Nun, Du, meine Tochter, musst Deine geschäftlichen E-Mails offenbar nicht am Wochenende lesen, Du hast halt Dein Geld schon unter der Woche verdient.“

Daraufhin mussten wir alle sehr lachen. Ich jedoch war meiner Mutter äußerst dankbar, dass sie mit diesem kurzen Satz die komplette Situation völlig entschärft hatte, und ich nahm mir insgeheim vor, auch in Bezug auf die Gewohnheiten meines Mannes, das Motto „Leben und leben lassen“ anzuwenden.

Über welches E-Mail habt Ihr Euch zuletzt geärgert - oder gefreut? Lest Ihr geschäftliche E-Mails in Eurer Freizeit? In welchem Zusammenhang wollt Ihr mehr leben und leben lassen?

Und da mein Mann selbst bei dem Outfit, das ich heute trage, nicht nur tolerant sondern sogar begeistert reagiert hat, habe ich einen Grund mehr, ihm auch nicht in seine Dinge drein zu reden …

At which times earn you your money?

Because at the weekend my lovely husband and I visited my parents. Shortly before this visit my husband read a business email, about which he was slightly angry.

We talked to my parents a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and in this context my husband mentioned the unpleasant email.

Since restraint is not always one of my huge strengths, I could not resist in this respect to convey my opinion regarding reading business emails. If you visit my blog already since a longer time, then you probably know that I have the opinion that it doesn´t make sense and isn´t good for the necessary relaxation to read business emails on the weekends and in the spare time - and exactly this I told in a long rigmarole.

My husband rolled his eyes, because he doesn´t like discussions regarding this theme, probably because he has done this too often with me.

My mother just looked at us, realized that this theme apparently is dynamite between my husband and me, and commented mischievously, "Well, so you, my daughter, have obviously earned your money during the week, so it´s apparently not necessary that you read your emails on the weekends."

In respect of her comment we all had to laugh. However, I was extremely grateful to my mother that with this short sentence she had completely resolved the entire situation and I took secretly the intent in relation to the habits of my husband to practise the motto "Live and let live".

Which email was recently annoying - or pleasing - for you? Do you read your business emails in your spare time? In what context do you want more live and let live?

And since my husband responded even with the outfit what I´m wearing today not only tolerant but also enthusiastic, I have one more reason not to interfere his own habits ...
